48 Hour Cardboard and Beyond

We hope you can join us during our next PixieWorkshops session where Kvasir Games will be sharing their experience of making board games in 48 hours during the Nordic Game Jam 2012, the board game scene and forming a games company.

Kvasir Games are a board game company registered in Denmark made up of 5 former international students of the IT University of Copenhagen. They have just released their latest game, Wanted: Igor! to the public last week, so we’re sure that they’ll have lots of interesting stuff to share with us.

48 Hour Cardboard and Beyond is being held on Friday, 21st February between 6:30pm and 7:30pm at the Microsoft Innovation Center.

As usual, attendance is completely free of charge but please register if you would like to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Next PixieWorkshop: interviewing DisGuise

Join us during our next PixieWorkshops session where we will be interviewing DisGuise, developers of the game Tiki Totem Runner. We will be asking them all about their experiences as four students who teamed up to participate in a local game development competition whilst still pursuing their studies.

As we talk to them about how they managed to balance their academic commitments with game development, we will learn about how they came up with the initial idea for their game and developed it, whilst dealing with all sorts of deadlines. They will also be invited to comment on their involvement in game development competitions and about any plans they have made for the future.

Friends Unite, Develop All Night, is being held on Monday 20th January between 6:30pm and 7:30pm at the Microsoft Innovation Center.

Attendance is completely free of charge but places are limited, so if you would like to attend please register to reserve a place. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
